Susan Kline
"After
living in Santa Fe for 25 years and listing and selling real
estate for almost 20 years, I can truly say there's no place
I would rather be." This declaration comes after residing
in Europe and Mexico, living on both coasts of the U.S. and places
in-between. Armed with a Master of Arts Degree in secondary education
from Ohio State University, Susan Kline has taught most grades
including Head Start and at the University level. As a new arrival
in Santa Fe, she began selling art-paintings, sculpture, Indian
pots, baskets and blankets, Eskimo objects, ancient coins, etc.
This enterprise became the Santa Fe Gallery on Old Santa Fe Trail.
Enjoying business, especially selling, real estate seemed a logical
progression. At the time, motivated by two soon to go to college
kids and Charlie, a Springer Spaniel, who thought of himself
as a gourmand, plus a sizeable mortgage, she found the real estate
business to be both satisfying and rewarding, and this still
holds true today. She served on the Board of the Santa Fe Animal
Shelter and Humane Society for 11 years, both as its President,
Vice President and currently as Secretary. She has also served
as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee and has been
a member of the Grievance Committee of the Santa Fe Association
of Realtors® for many years. "With any free time I can
find, you can find me playing tennis, fly fishing and enjoying
the natural splendors of New Mexico." "My special moments
in real estate occur when I find just the right buyers for my
sellers, and when I locate just the right property for my buyers.
It sounds easy, but countless hours go into this before the happy
ending." "Santa Fe operates with more than a bit of
magic at its 7200 foot elevation. This city, which by all standards
is a small town, enjoys the cultural life of any big city with
its opera, symphony, desert chorale, art galleries, theatre and
traveling dance companies. Easy access to the great outdoors
is another plus. As is the shopping and the restaurants. Stir
into this pot the unending variety of the town's people and cultures
and you begin to sense what we who live here believe is Santa
Fe's magic."
